Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda – Transfer to Bwindi & Batwa Cultural Experience

Arrival in Uganda, scenic drive to Bwindi, and Batwa cultural experience in the evening.

Your adventure begins at Entebbe International Airport, where your local guide will greet you. The drive to Bwindi is scenic, with rolling hills, banana plantations, and a stop at the Equator for a water experiment and photo opportunity. By late afternoon, arrive near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and spend the evening with the Batwa through music, storytelling, and traditions. Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Adventure

Early morning gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

After a briefing at the park headquarters, set off into the misty forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek may take 2 to 6 hours, followed by an hour with the gorillas. After lunch, travel to Lake Bunyonyi, check in to your lakeside lodge, and unwind with views of 29 islands. Canoe rides or a cultural visit are available. Accommodation: Bunyonyi Safaris Resort.

Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi

Relax at Lake Bunyonyi before returning to Entebbe.

Wake to birdsong and enjoy a relaxing boat cruise between the islands or a gentle nature walk along the shoreline. Later, begin the journey back to Entebbe, reflecting on the trip’s experiences and connections.
