Day 1 – Volunteer at Amatsiko Preparatory School (Kigali → Kabale)

Begin your journey with a pick-up from your Kigali accommodation. After a scenic drive, head to Amatsiko, where you’ll spend the day volunteering at Amatsiko Preparatory School. Engage in meaningful activities with the children, contribute to educational programs, and learn about the impactful work being done to empower vulnerable children in the community. Enjoy lunch at the school and interact with the local community, immersing yourself in the culture. Spend time with the children and support educational or extracurricular activities. After a rewarding day, travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an overnight stay. Rest and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead.

Day 2 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Meet the mountain gorillas.

Start with a hearty breakfast at your hotel, then head to the briefing point for essential insights before your thrilling gorilla trek. Venture deep into the lush forest, spending 2 to 6 hours tracking these magnificent creatures. After the trek, return to the hotel for lunch, then continue to Lake Bunyonyi, where you’ll unwind by Africa’s second deepest lake and stay overnight.

Day 3 – Lake Bunyonyi Exploration & Boat Cruise and Return

Cultural experience and scenic boat ride before transfer to Kigali.

Start your day with an early morning breakfast before heading to the community for an immersive cultural experience. Engage with locals as you learn traditional crafts and participate in hands-on activities. Next, join a local family in preparing a traditional lunch, sharing stories and laughter over a heartwarming meal. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride, soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. After this enriching experience, transfer to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at the airport or a hotel of your choice in Rwanda.
