Best time to visit: June–September and December–February offer excellent conditions for gorilla trekking and wildlife viewing. Gorilla trekking requires a permit and guided forest trek with Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Moderate fitness is recommended for forest walks and nature activities. Transport is by private 4×4 safari vehicle from Entebbe and throughout the journey. The trip can be customized.
