Arrive Accra
Arrive Kotoka International Airport. Private transfer to your hotel. Afternoon Accra city tour — Independence Square, Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, Jamestown and the Artists Alliance Gallery. Welcome dinner featuring Ghanaian cuisine.

Cape Coast Castles
Drive west to Cape Coast. Visit Cape Coast Castle — the most significant site of the transatlantic slave trade. The 'Door of No Return'. Elmina Castle — built by the Portuguese in 1482. Elmina fishing harbor.

Kakum National Park & Kumasi
Morning canopy walkway at Kakum National Park — suspended 30 metres above the rainforest floor. Drive north to Kumasi. Visit the Manhyia Palace Museum — the story of the Ashanti people.

Ashanti Culture — Kente, Crafts & Chiefs
Morning visit to kente-weaving villages. Ntonso for adinkra cloth stamping. Afternoon crafts villages: woodcarving and brass casting. If timing permits, an Ashanti chief's durbar. Return to Accra.

Accra Markets & Departure
Morning visit to Makola Market. Final souvenir shopping at the Arts Centre. Transfer to Kotoka Airport.
